I have been living at this complex for almost a year. Everything bad that others have said is true. The day I received my keys, I walked into my apartment only to find two guys in it. They were installing carpet that should've been taken care of prior to my move in date. Four hours later I returned to a filthy apartment, but I guess I should've been happy for the new carpet'
Snow removal does occur very early in the morning, utilities are sky high, windows rotted and poorly insulated, counter tops stain easily, carpet (new carpet that is) is falling apart, mold apears and they wanted to paint over it, not fix the problem, repairs take forever but when they do fix things, they enter your apartment without the 12 hour notice required by Wisconsin law. Blinds break, stairs creak, charge $75 to put in a dead bolt, appliances are old, apartments smell( I'm assuming mine had a dog in it that used the carpet as its toilet.Sure I got new carpet, but did they relace the pad')

I do have to say, the grounds are beautiful, neighbors are wonderful, and Now that Heather is gone, things seem to be improving. Patti is great and very helpful. American Colony has improved it's management, but they need to work on updating the apartments. The rent they charge is far above the quality of the apartment.
Now, do you think I will be renewing my lease''' I think not!
