Good place to start. I moved away from Wisconsin in 2006, so speaking from my experience I had with Howard Apartments two years ago it was great. Never had any bug issues, employee issues, rent issues, etc. Honestly, I wish I could find a decent place like this where I live now (a large metropolitan area where $580 rent is hard to come by or isn't frowned upon). They did switch managers a bit, but each time they were good people and available when you needed them to be. In fact, when I moved out, I was out of state, so they allowed my mother to come in and clean up the place for me and I got my whole deposit back.

The grounds itself aren't much to be thrilled about. Simple but yet well taken care of (grass mowed, trash picked up), the only complaint I would have is that the parking lot is in the back of the complex with minimal lighting so for a single female that was hard to deal with but eventually I got over it (and just ran to my apartment when I'd come home from class in the evenings lol). There aren't any pools or any of that fancy stuff going on here, but exactly what you need....a place to stay and lay your head.

All in all I would definitely recommend the place, especially to young people starting out and not wanting to pay an arm and a leg for a place or older people wanting something without all the thrills.

P.S. - It is also a stone throw away from the mall and plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. so it is also convenient.
