Disappointed

Overall the place really isnt that bad, but I am disappointed with a few things. The staff is unprofessional--- The management (minus one person) is terrible. When you have to talk to them regarding an issue or maintainence problem, they are clueless. The day we moved in, we had issues but I didnt take the hint then. Maintainence doesnt seem to be as good as the places I have lived previously as well. First of all, they will really only come take care of you if its an emergency. Otherwise you have to wait.
This is deff one of the better places when it comes to minimal noise in the apartment itself, which is nice. But now that its getting warmer out, its getting a bit nosier outside. Children run around in the roads and scream. Not sure where the parents are. I was told I was in a quiet area, unfortunately its not quiet enough.
I have also lived in HC for years, and never seen the HC police so many times in my life. People are getting arrested right outside our apartment. The complex as a whole seemed to get run-down.
For what you pay monthly, I just dont know if its quite worth it.
I guess the apartments will be under new ownership soon. Not sure if that means new management, but hopefully it will mean some more changes for the better.

No such luck!! New ownership/management, same sucky staff (perhaps some additional staff) who would rather puff on cancer sticks by the pool, draft up nasty threatening newsletters, and play computer solitaire than do any real work to improve the property.
A note on maintenance. Our W/D was smoking on a Saturday afternoon, and maintenance did not deem the situation an emergency!?
In regards to many (not all) of Plum Tree's children. Many of the children are poorly behaved, have terrible manners, and obviously are not being supervised by their parents. The children play in the drive that passes through the property (not in the courtyard), seemingly oblivious to the cars that might be driving by. Several times children have dashed in front of my car as I drive through the property, then glare at me like I'm doing something wrong. Also, with the toys cast all over the place, the property is starting to resemble the stereotypical trailor park. Management has been notified of this issue, probably multiple times (they should be fully aware of this anyways if they are doing their jobs). (I want to clarify that in the grand scheme of things, I do not fault the children as they need to have a proper example set by their guardians and the property ownership/management in order to act accordingly.)
I am also annoyed that our visitor parking has become a dumping ground for deserted vehicles. In particular, one vehicle with an out-of-state license plate and two flat tires has been parked in the lot since last fall. It is now July. Hello!! Where is management on this one?

I agree whole heartedly with both assesments. This is singularly the worst place that I or any one I have talked to here has been to. The "staff" is horrible and I have personally heard many, many complaints about upkeep, problems with the apartments going unresolved and dangerous situations that no one does anything about. The staff is unresponsive, mean spirited and generally view you as a bother even just to answer simple questions. This place sucks and is way too expensive to put up with this.

I agree with all stated above!! The management here is TERRIBLE to say the least, I had some issues with my apartment that got ignored, I had no garbage can for 4 months, I constantly wrote letters every month to the managment about my issues they just kept giving me the run-a-round, saying they are taking care of it and they will fix it, and they will order me a new garbage can. Well, half the stuff got fixed and it doesn't take 4 months to order a garbage can, which wasn't even new, they gave me a used one....hmmmmm! Recently a garage building burnt to the ground and it took almost 3 months to rebuild it. If you drive around the whole complex you will see some buildings that look really run down! I grew up in this neighborhood and this used to be a nice place and now this place looks terrible, because the lack of up keep.
