Like others I wanted to find a nice place that was worth the money I would pay. I read hte reviews about Surrey Ridge and thought, only people who think bad about the apartments write reviews so I decided to give it a chance. My roommate and I signed a 6-month lease. The apartments looked beautiful. They are spacious, have huge balconies and overall they appear to be wonderful. As we moved in we noticed the apartment was really dirty, hardly left clean by former tenants. No big deal. We cleaned. Then we noticed there were a lot of bugs, so we sprayed. And sprayed. And sprayed. The apartment seemed to be overrun by bugs. No matter how much we sprayed the apartment, there were always ants, spiders, centipedes, and now earwigs. The first few months were fine. Then the washer broke. And was supposedly fixed. But my clothes were coming out smelling dirty. SO I sat and watched it one day. The center wasn't oscillating. We told the management. They fixed it again. And it still didn't oscillate. I would try it again but I'm tired of wasting my quarters to hopefully get clean clothing. I want to be certain my clothes are getting washed properly. Then new neighbors moved in. Our building went from being quiet, slightly smoke smelling from the upstairs neighbors but not too overpowering to a loud, disruptive building that smells like cats. We've asked repeatedly that the neighbors below us turn down their bass. All we want is to not hear bass constantly. They don't respect us. And we've noticed that our complex is turning ghetto. It's not a nice complex. I hate coming home and having to park 4-5 building away from mine because all the parking spots are full. It's ridiculous. They told us that we would have enough parking to park right near our building. Some days I have to park in visitor parking because there are simply no other spots available.
Basically, all I can say about this place is that it is not worth the money. I would maybe pay $475 a month for what I got and I paid out $600. If you can't find anywhere else to live, I guess consider it. But if you can find anyplace decent, with storage, take it. You might regret living here as much as I do.
