Bayside Townhomes was nice to live in while there, but moving out was the problem. There was a change of management during my current lease. I had informed the previous manager that I was moving out. Somehow in the transition of management they did not communicate that detail. When it came time to move out the new manager, Curtis (who never introduced himself) said he didn't receive proper notification. He was very difficult to deal with, did not return phone calls in a timely matter (if at all), and was very rude. Bayside Townhomes took our entire security deposit and charged us additional fees because they claimed not to receive proper move out notice. Our townhome was in very good condition and spotless. They charged us fees so they could change the locks and repaint (which are standard move out procedures that should not be charged). I am very dissatisfied and would not recommend living here. They are just out to make a quick buck where ever possible and are willing to take advantage of their tenants.

I agree and would not recommend Bayside to anyone! The new manager is totally rude and is on some kind of power trip. We have just moved out also after 2 years and we are still waiting to see what if anything is returned from our deposit! The place is also turning into a complete dump with the new management.

If charges were withheld from your security deposit and you feel taken advantage of...go to small claims court. It is inexpensive and the court commissioners/judges want documentation from both parties to prove whos right. You could sue and win double damages. I agree, unless the painting was beyond normal wear and tear, a landlord cannot charge you for that. Also, they need to notify you within 21 days of you turning in your keys, not when the lease expires. Good Luck!
