My husband and I moved into a one-bedroom apt. in June when we planned on attending Parkside. You can hear people walking around above all the time, i know when they are going to the bathroom and such. The kitchen is so small that my husband and i have trouble both being in there at the same time, and we are not big people. There is no security or lighting in the parking lot. In August our apartment was broken into and robbed of almost $400 worth of things including both sets of our car keys. When we reported this to the office, the staff was really rude and told us to report it to the police. That was all they did. They didn't even offer to help fix the broken lock. The next day my car was stolen at 10 in the morning.There are springlers all over the lawn that get water into your windows and car. The laundry facilities are located in a spot where you have to walk outside to get to the next building where they are located. That really sucks in the winter time. Also, you need to put money on a laundry card which there are about 4 locations to do this for over 700 residents. The maintainance men have never helped us fix anything at all. We did see them putting up a larger fence around the pool for about 3 months. They dont seem to do much. What i found strange is that don't provide any curtains at all. You have to spend your own money to buy them. We did this and still receive letters about every month telling us to get curtains. So annoying. So is hearing the people in the hallway. I think i heard everything my neighbor was going to get from the grocery store the other day. No one here cares about any of your problems and won't help you, but they will be the first ones to ----- if you don't have their style curtains up in your apt.
I would say only rent here if your car is your only other option.
Oh, and don't ever plan on getting a parking spot.
