Started out good, but...

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I lived at this complex for 2 years.
The Bad:
The first year wasn't *too* bad. Before we moved in, we were told we can have 2 dogs but after a couple months, we received a notice on our door that we were in violation of our lease and we would have to remove one of our dogs. It took a LOT of phone calls to corporate management before everything got sorted out. They really have no compassion or professionalism when dealing with tenants.
Our upstairs neighbors were so loud at ev-er-y hour of the day that I almost lost my mind. There was a small hill in front of our apartment and when it snowed there were a gazillion kids out there from sunrise till after sunset screaming their heads off while they were sledding.
The parking is absolutly horrible. In the 2 years I lived there I was rarely able to park anywhere near our building despite there being more than enough spots for one car per tenant AND after 8pm you were lucky to even find a spot period.
The appliances in our unit were probably the cheapest money could buy and had to be original. You had to turn the dryer on 3 times to get a load completely dry, the washer made our clothes smell weird despite our efforts to make it stop and the dishwasher was basically worthless.
Once the management changed hands shortly after we moved in, we never again received honest and considerate customer service unless we spoke directly to the Asst. Mgr. Any valid complaints we had were ignored or even worse, turned around to make us look like the bad guys.
The apartments are very drafty. Even with the doors and windows shut and locked, we could feel a steady breeze coming in from the outside. We were forced to buy a lot of materials to insulate our apartments to avoid cranking the heat all winter.
You have to pay for your water. If you are late, expect to pay $50. Have a really bad month and pay after the 15' Try $150 late fee.
In the months before we moved out we got tired of the quality of tenants they were allowing in and the partying out in the parking lot. In the 2 years that we lived there the turnover rate in our building alone was hilarious. Tood bad our upstairs neighbors paid their rent.
When we moved out they nickel and dimed us till we had no deposit left even though we left the apartment in excellent condition and hired someone to clean before we moved out.
The Good:
The grounds were very attractive and I loved the wooded setting. They allow both cats and dogs. We made a ton a friends over the summers while hanging out at the pool. Even the smallest apartments have a decent amount of square footage. Having your own garage is nice.
