Not bad

The apartments are decent - things are a little on the old side, especially for the price, though. The location is convenient, but there's a fair amount of noise from outside. The landscaping they have (though not a large area) is amazing - there is a very nice courtyard with a grill, plus there's another one in the courtyard for the building next door. Parking can be a challenge if you don't rent a spot - and renting a parking spot is very expensive.

Don't leave your bike outside overnight - my roommate's bike and her boyfriend's bike were both stolen. There are many passers-by in the alley, and many are drunk on weekends.

The lease agreement includes several clauses that aren't legal by Madison Ordinance (like requiring you to pay for carpet cleaning). The staff is professional, but not terribly friendly. They fix problems quickly - almost always the next day.

Overall, a decent place to live - you could do much worse. Fairly expensive though, due to the fairly large rooms and central location.
