The first thing you have to realize is that this isn't a really fancy place. It's not meant to be. It's 553 a month now for an efficiency that is fairly decent sized with all of the utilities, and that's very fair for what you get, i think.

it is true about the smell in the hallways. there are a lot of asian people who are new to america here, and their food smells pretty bad to people (like me) who are not used to that sort of stuff. but it never smells at all inside the apartment.

don't let the hallways fool you. they are definitely quite ugly and poorly lit and the carpet is gross. but the actual apartments are pretty good. it's not like you're going to be living in the hallway, so who really cares'

the courtyard area is pretty cool. big trees, grass, quiet, etc. a million buses go right past the front door too, which is quite convenient. i live in the part of the building near campus drive and i dont find the traffic noise very annoying, personally.

the management is very nice, which is pretty unusual for apartment buildings. issues are taken care of promptly.

don't come here expecting the world, and you'll be pleased, i think. if you are just looking for a decent place in a nice neighborhood that doesn't cost too much, this is a good choice. it also feels very home-like, in my opinion. more so than any other apartment building in which i have lived.

so, give it a shot!
