Pros:

Rooms are spacious and clean, but the kitchen in my apartment proved to be too small (I've learned that I don't do well in galley-style kitchens).

Lots of counter space in the bathroom.

They allow you to paint.

Windows are beautiful (but see cons below) and large to let in plenty of light.

Right off the beltline, near West Towne Mall, lots of restaurants, WalMart, Sam's Club, Woodmans (and other grocery stores), movie theater, and post office: all within reasonable walking distance.

Never had any problems with the office or maintenance staff.
Cons:

Windows are HORRIBLY insulated! If you ask, they'll seal them up for you with some caulking. But the sliding glass door that was so nice in the summer time leads out to your storage, so you don't want to seal it... but a good portion of the draft comes through that way.

There's a LONG waiting list for underground parking and the lots fill up quickly.

Lady bugs attack with force in the summer time. (This could just be a Madison area problem, I'm not from around here).

Some of the buildings (the one I live in for example) are right next the the beltline. Sometimes, it can be soothing like living on the ocean, but only if you think about it that way. If you have sensitive sleeping habits, be sure to get into a building on the south side of Watts.

The water is shared between the apartments, so hot water can run out in the mornings if you wait too late. Also, it's very loud when someone in an adjacent apartment runs water or uses their dishwasher/washing machine/dryer.

Club house requires a fee on top of the deposit!

Overall:
Nice complex. I wouldn't recommend paying full price, so get in when they're running a rent special and get a garage (or on the waiting list) way before winter starts to reel its ugly head.
