I lived in the smallest 1 bedroom apt for 1 1/2 yrs, needed a place quick after a separation and Lincoln Ridge had an apartment right away. I looked at an apt on the North side on a holiday when beltline traffic was very low. After I moved in, and traffic was back to normal. That became the biggest problem with the apt. I could not keep my patio doors/windows open and hear the tv/music/talk on the phone.
My apt was very nice, carpet and appliances are in great shape. Walls were freshly painted. With the beltline traffic, I heard on a daily basis. The only time I heard my neighboors was in the bathroom...using the bathroom/throwing up (yeah that was wonderful to wake up too!) I was able to get a garage for an extra $40/a month. Well worth the money!! Parking is an issue and guests are told to park their car at the office or be ticketed/towed. Although, I had an overnight guest several times and they were never ticketed/towed. One early snowy morning, I started my car in my garage with the door open and ran across the parking lot about 100 ft to dump my trash. When I got home from work there was a note on my door from the office, about not letting a car run in a garage. I understood the point but felt tattle tailed on. There was no one outside, so someone must have my pearing from the window and called the office. Frequently the whole building would receive notes and fliers, from tattle tale's in the building. Felt a little like I was in grade school.
Other than that, if I lived their again. I would get an apartment on the South side of Watts (less noise) and require a garage space (year around)!
