I lived in Lincoln Ridge Apartments for a year after first moving to Madison. It is without a doubt the worst apartment I've ever rented (And I lived in plenty of student housing in college.) When I moved into the apartment the carpets smelled of animal urine, several of my light fixtures were broken, and my AC did not work for over a week during the summer. (It's not a maintenance emergency if it's not over 80 degrees!!) The parking lots were always full from non-residents, and FORGET snow plow service during the winter. On all of Watts road, Lincoln Ridge was always the last lot to get plowed. The building are built very cheaply, my walk in closets were so cold in the winter that I used to pull out my clothes the night before work so they would be warm enough to wear in the morning! The water damming in my apartment was the icing on the cake during the winter, and as a result my bedroom smelled of mold, the drywall needed to be replaced and the carpets cleaned. My neighbors were awful; my hallways were filthy with dirty shoes, mud, and tossed mail, and I once had my mail opened by a curious neighbor. The management is very rude and not helpful, often dismissing my complaints as "non-emergency" or "not something that we can control." Every time I paid my rent to this company I felt like I was wasting money, and I started looking for a new apartment only about 5 months into my lease. There IS good apartment housing in Madison that is cheaper and better managed, almost anything is better than Lincoln Ridge. Please save yourself the grief and find something better!

To "No No No!'s" review I can only say, What? What? What apartment community are you talking about, surely not Lincoln Ridge Apartments where I live, as, THESE apartments are LOVELY, and I have both lived here a number of years and, lived in numbers of other apartments around this city! I have to wonder if we're talking about the same apartments, because I am proud to come home here and proud to say these apartments are where I live. Thumbs down to "No No No!'s" review.

wow that sucks but i don't think ac is an emergancy but maybe thats because i grew up the first 18 years of my life with out it ... its called a fan its cheaper

All these apartment buildings are the same age, with the same problems. Don't let the office personel fool you good folks by their comments here. They know we are right. But they want to suck you into this mess called Lincoln Ridge, and their mean spirited lives. Rude office personel like I've never seen before in my life.
