I lived in these apartments for almost a year. I worked downtown, and this was only about a ten minute drive from the parking lot to the garage at my work, on a bad day. Small drive to shopping. When I moved in they had just installed new cabinets, but the knob fell off in my hand the second day. I also had the faucet knob break on my hand. The diswasher broke the first week. However, I have to say maintenance is around a lot, and they come over to fix things right away. I never had to wait more than a few hours to get anything fixed. It's a very secure apartment, with an alarm system in each apartment. It's spacious. The landlords were understanding when I had to move out early, and helped me out with a payment plan to pay them for the rent for the rest of the lease. I wish there was a better accessible bike trail, but if you have a car it's easy to get around. Maintenance is nice, even shoveled my car out once when they saw me struggling. For one person, though, it might be better to try to find something cheaper in madison, but otherwise this place is nice. There's pros and cons, but I've lived in worse places for a lot more rent.
