I lived at Riverwood for about 5 years, in two different apartments. Both apartments were nice, spacious, and clean, and we weren't in any hurry to leave. The maintenance was prompt and always got the job done. The lighting was good at night. The neighbors were fine most of the time. There are a lot of older people there who are long-term renters. This did seem to change toward the end of my time there, so there might be more younger people now. Every year they have a resident appreciation party at the pool with free food and beer. It's really a nice thing they do. Maybe I am biased because I met my husband at one of those pool parties. :)

I'm not saying it was all perfect. Creepy and annoying neighbors from time to time, vandalism in the common areas, the woman who loved playing the bongos, people driving too fast in the parking lot, people driving by with their damn bass blasting. Welcome to apartment life.

The biggest downside is that the neighborhood is ok, but could be better. My husband had his car broken into twice. However, that happens everywhere. We now live in a nice house in the suburbs and my car was broken into a couple months ago. You just have to keep your stuff as secure as you can, wherever you are.
