I lived there for 2 years before I decided to move back to Milwaukee. The staff was awesome and fixed things almost immediately. As everyone else has stated the worst problem was the crime, but you know that before moving in unless you don't know the area. It's the most crime infested. My 2 neighbors were robbed, and had someone try to break in one night, but chased them out of the window that they were coming in.

The kitchens are nice and big with lots of cabinets.

The free heat is nice, and electric bills were only around 25-40 bucks for me, but more for some people I knew.

Basements were pretty sketchy at night, which is probably why they have the time locked down for when you can do laundry. I'd recommend not storing anything down there personally.

This was probably one of the first places I got my full security deposit back, which is a rarity in Madison. There are so many places that would lie out there and take your deposit, even though you'd leave it 100x cleaner than you found it. It was definitely nice to find an honest place for once.

Courtyard was well kept although not some place I would really hang out.

Overall it was a cheaper accomodation. I would recommend a 2nd floor apartment to prevent getting robbed, although that's no guarantee. Good luck.
