A little Expensive

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I've lived here for almost one year...so far it's been good.
I moved in at the end of June 2006 but wasn't going to actually move in until July 3rd b/c I was going on my honneymoon.
My hubby and I made of list of things needed to get fixed in our apartment and it didn't get fixed until after 2007!!! The problem is that they missed a couple things when they were here the last time and I'm still waiting to get my bathroom door fixed and my garbage disposal fixed (it doesn't work right so it smells really gross).
So maintenance is pretty poor, I was told it's b/c there is only one guy maintaining all the properties!! That's insane...hire someone else!
The parking situation is OK...I've had to park in another parking lot before but it's not that bad of a walk...the only problem I had was my car was broken into...yep, they stole my CD player and all my speakers! Unfortunately this happened to a lot of people, in the open parking and underground parking...and it happened for a little while over a months worth of constant break-ins.
The apartment themselves are nice, mine is spacious (I paid a little extra for that) and they allow you to paint 2 walls, granted the paint color is very light and you can only choose 3 colors at the time...that will change I was told.
The office people are very sweet, never had a problem with them, I actually became friends with them, the workout facility is OK...nothing to brag about.
The people that live here though are wonderful...never had a problem with anyone...everyone is polite.
The noise is nonexistant...the walls here are so thick! I love it!! I can scream in my apartment on the top of my lungs and my next door neighbor will not hear me! And that also comes in handy in the winter/summer, all you have to do is crank your heat/AC for about 10 minutes and you are all set for hours and hours of comfort! The only downside is that there isn't central air in most apartments...it's the hotel kind!
All in all this is a very nice community (community pool across the street, senior home next door, luxury homes just down the street), rent is a little high and they are increasing the rent price by $25! Apartments vary from $700-900 , for the price you might as well pay for a nicer place that has bigger apartments (the biggest for a 1 bedroom ranch was 800sf)with more *perks* :)
