I have lived in better places. The apartments are overpriced, but it is a convienent location. Hilldale, the post office, Walgreens, Borders, UW Credit Union, and many other things are all within walking distance. if you are a UW student you can't beat the bus service; all eight buses that stop at the stop go to campus.

The apartments are generic; don't expect anythign too exciting. The kitchen was a mess when I moved in but I was given $100 off my rent because of it. Management is good... a little flighty but good. Maintenance is excellent. My AC broke; I had a new one in less than 30 minutes. If something needs to be fixed or replaced it is no questions asked. Having maintenance response like that is unusual in Madison.

The apartments are noisy. I had very noisy upstairs neighbors. THe worst! I heard nothing from those on the sides of me. If you move here, get a third floor apt.! I also heard everything that went on in the building next to me. Get an apt. on the west side; it isn't as close to the neighboring building.

All in all a decent place. A bit overpriced, but the location and convienece and excellent maintenance may well be worth it.
