I lived at Ridgewood for over 12 years. About five years ago I bought a condo across the street.

At the time I lived there, the place was kept up very well. The maintenance was always done. They painted my place every year. The deck was replaced, the siding was replaced, and they even replaced all of my carpeting. They maintained the kitchen, too.

However, since I've moved out I have become very concerned about the neighborhood. As I write this, there is yet another fire at Ridgewood. There have been over a dozen that I am aware of. There has been at least one murder and multiple stabbings. I have looked out my windows and watched drug busts.

The carpeting in the halls hasn't been changed since I lived there. It was old when I moved in. The laundry rooms and the lower level apartments always had huge amounts of mud seeping in during the spring thaws.

Ridgewood has hit rock bottom since I lived there. I am very glad I'm out. I hope that the entire place is demolished and replaced with something nicer.

I don't feel safe in this neighborhood any longer.
