Wow! rip off

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2004
Parking is available for a reasonable price. Covered parking is worth it here.
Grounds are kept very well. The landscaping is aesthetically pleasing. If there is a mess somewhere, it doesnt stay there for very long.
The building is relatively new. Brand new when I moved in. The walls are thick and I dont hear my neighbors. My window faces a courtyard (not a street) so it is quiet.
The lock on my apartment entrance door did stick, and it broke twice during the first 2 years of renting due to a bad installation job.
The balconies in the front of the apartment are not functional. I find this ammusing, misleading, and sad all at once. Why build balconies if you cant open the window and step out onto them'
The main entrances are well lit. A safe student environment.
The office for University Heights is actually located in the apartment next door, Casa Blanca. While they do a good job providing basic services, I must agree with the previous critic that the office staff has become more rude over the years.
Also, I'm pretty sure that the office staff has ripped me off. When first applying for the lease I was told that the pool and weight room of Casa Blanca would be available to University Heights tenants. Not true. After having me fill out a lot of paperwork, the office guy tells me that he just "found out" the monthly payment would be $20 over the advertised price. He also tells me there are only 2 efficiencies left. Later I find out that he told both my neighbors the same thing when they chose their efficiencies. I know that theres no law against lying, but the credibility of the office staff is questionable at best. Recently I?ve looked at their website which states that an efficiency is 417 sqr feet. I took some measurments and my efficiency is 15 ft x 24 ft. That?s ONLY 360 sqr feet!
My advice to prospective renters is to bring your tape measures when you visit apartments.
