I began renting with Arbor Lakes last February. Within two weeks of moving in, my boyfriend's car was broken into in an attempt to steal it. The management did nothing about this. Then, in October, someone lit a fire in the hallway of my apartment building right in front of my door! I wasn't even there at the time and came back to find cops swarming the building. Ridiculous. Only a month after that in November, I awoke two nights in a row in the middle of the night to find that my door had been unlocked. By this point, I had been shoving my couch in front of the door each night to guarantee that no one could get in. Thank god it was there. From this point on until I moved out (early) I barely slept...fearful that it would happen again. The only offer that management made was to change my locks. I filed a police report and told them that my building was also the one with the fire. I was told to be extra careful because this had not happened anywhere else, and they feared that someone may be stalking me. I will never, EVER recommend this place to anyone. I feared for my safety every day. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
