Dissapointed

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
Me and my husband really enjoyed living here, but when it came to renewing our lease we were for a big surprise. When we originally moved here the complex had a different resident manager and she offered us one month free and we were able to prorate that amount and she assured us that next year we would be able to get the same thing or a different promotion so we decided to sign the lease. Well that time came and nothing, we were told that we can sigh a lease at a rate that was almost $70 more than what we were paying. Then we thought that we could move to a smaller 1 bedr. ranch apt. but the lady said that they don't have anything available but if we would like to stay in the same apartment at the new price she could start the paperwork. It almost sounded like they wanted to get rid of us. We are very good tenants we pay our rent on time we don't cause trouble we are not loud and we are barely home so I don't understand why they had to treat us like that. For an apartment complex that has no amenities what so ever they are for sure very expensive. Overall I think that management doesn't want to keep good tenants around.
And here is something about the property: during our stay we didn't really have any major maintenance issues. Our heating/cooling unit was freezing around the wall during the winter and it never got fixed, the condensation around the skylight is unbelievable it leaks on the floor we thought that our TV will get wet and break. The washers and dryers on our floor were constantly out of order and we had to go to the basement to do laundry.
Otherwise it is very nice place to live but it is way overpraised for the fact that they don't have anything to offer you.
