I live at these apartments...as the previously reviewer stated the price is good but be careful. In the 2 years that we have lived here - 3 different property managers have been hired. We have gone from bad to somewhat better in the progression. At least these two (present mangers) are around occasionaly to clean up the common areas in the building...to a point. We have had numerous problems with noisy upstair neighbors....I broke my foot this winter while trying to get to my car in the parking lot. I was leaving at 10 am and the lot was still not plowed. My husband took it upon himself to shovel the sidewalks this winter because no one else did...then someone stole his shovel. We have had maintenence issues that do not get addressed in a prompt fashion. The sump pump was not plugged in downstairs and with all the melting this spring it backed up into the basement and storage units. When we called on this - no action. Water is still there - just evaporating on its own. We have problems with mail theft - packages left in the hallway and people who don't belong to our building come through and take them...not a security locked building. My husband saw someone do this with mail left for our neighbor - called management and they pretty much said "too bad". I also have had issues with payment. I always drop my check off at the rental office and get a receipt - they lost my check after I had dropped it off and then 3 weeks later had the nerve to try to evict us for lack of payment....why we are still here you ask' Renewals are up at the end of the month and we aren't renewing. Price does not overrule quality of living....TR McKenzie has a slew of higher end apartments in their portfolio and I can bet the residents of those properties are not treated the way the residents at Lakeview are...
