Supposedly we rented a renovated apartment, so we have been charged about $100 more than other 2 bedroom apartments...but it doesn't show--they used cheap materials: the ceiling shows cracks every 4 ft where the drywall meets, there are joist bolts/screws coming through the ceiling. The insulation is cheap--you can literally hear each word from the apartment next door.
To put this into perspective on how overpriced our apartment is, we are moving into a BRAND NEW apartment for $10 more a month...

The common areas are poorly kept. You'll have a terrible time finding parking amongst the multiple and often abandoned cars...the laundry facilities will be in working order half the time if you're lucky. The management has changed recently, but its not showing as far as staff reliability. Office workers don't show up on time, their maitinence staff (at least one guy) is drunk and will literally scream in your face...

Currently, the parking lot is under construction...it was supposed to be finished last week...no bulletins posted to let tenants know what's going on...and yet we have to be out on August 31st by noon--even if there's no way to get our stuff out'

Overall, this place is a complete waste...it should be demolished and bought by another company who may actually give a crap about their tenants or the condition of their buildings. It has become an unsafe neighborhood with poor lighting, and the current management doesn't care who they let rent here.

I have had to contact the State Dept. of Consumer Protection more than once to get action on unresolved issues...so be ready to have to do the same if you care at all about how you're treated.

At least living downtown, you expect landlords to be shady...you shouldn't have to deal with that in MIDDLETON.

Completely unacceptable.

Right on. This place is a dump. It has beeen badly managed and no one cares how bad it is for tenants. The only way one gets things done is by calling Middleton's Buliding Inspector, as many tenants have. Stay clear of this place, it hasn't changed, no matter what "line" they try to sell you.
