Great Place to Live

I've lived at Waterside in a 1br apartment for nearly 1 year, and I have to say that I have enjoyed my experience. Michelle is a wonderful person and manager who is very helpful. The apartments themselves are well maintained, and a very nice size. They're somewhat pricy, but to find all of the amenities that this place offers, you would be paying this much, if not more, anywhere else in Madison. You get an underground parking stall, a good sized storage unit in the basement, washer and dryer in unit, and access to their fitness center and pool. Noise was usually not a problem. I never heard the people on either side of me. I did sometimes hear the people above me, but they had a five-year-old son who loved to jump around and run a lot, and I can't really blame a kid for wanting to do that indoors in the winter. Electricity/Heat is not included, so that bill can go high during the winter. Summer is usually pretty cheap. Maintenance is wonderful. I'm from south Texas, so I haven't used a heater much before. When I turned it on and smelled smoke, I panicked and called maintenance. The guy on the phone calmed me down and explained that it was just the dust burning off. My dumb mistake, but I was grateful that he took the time to explain things to me. I would echo the last rating when they said to get an apartment that has a view of the lake, if possible. It's a wonderful view.
