DO NOT MOVE HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY DURING THIS RESESSION!!! THERE IS A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER THAT LIVES HERE THAT THEY DO NOT TELL YOU!!!

When I first found out about Briarwick I was impressed with the amenties they offered and at such a low price...My monthly rent in January 2008 was 760.00 with heat included. Its now more than 800.00 a month in rent for new tenant. The manager George is a tight a** that will take every penny he can get from you. When I first moved in I had large carpeting pieces that were left behind in my apartment. No window fixings, an old toilet seat in the living room....and all the garbage the maintence left behind! Not only did I have to clean my old apartment, but I had to clean the NEW apartment at Briarwick because they failed to finish their jobs!

HEAT: Free heat'!' No wayyyyyyy. My heat never got past 67 degrees in the winter. And with a small child that is nothing but unacceptable. So I had to use their electric heaters in the winter just to keep my apartment warm. My electric bill was over $100/month and it's normally $35!

Staff: The staff themselves have had enough with George, the manager, and his nonsense they have told me themselves that they avoid George and he will take every penny he can get because he bonuses off that.

CRIME: My boyfriends car was broken into in the parking lot. Someone stole all four of his tires and left his car sitting on 4 cemanent blocks! This is a good neighborhood and his car looked like it was from the ghetto! A girl was going door to door to get a petition signed because her car was broken into on CHRISTMAS DAY and they smashed all her windows and wiped her car CLEAN! Briarwick told her if she kept that up she would be evicted. She now has a garage spot which she pays an extra $70.00/month for just to keep her car safe. I had to do the same after my boyfriends tires were stolen.

I have seen mice outside my apartment on several occasions. SO mice is a problem here.


My newest neighbors are def. from the ghetto. I lost count of how many people actually live there because its always someone different. There are 3 childern and a handful of adults, but George wont do a thing about them. Not only is the appreance of my neighbors concerning but the noise they make is insane! It sounds like their hanging pictures on the walls everyday because all you hear is pounding. And then you hear them fighting about NOT WANTING TO GO BACK TO JAIL!!!

My apartment has smelt like cigeratte smoke since day one. Every morning I smell smoke in my bathroom and in my kitchen. Its sooooo annoying. I complained to George the manager, but what a suprise he did nothing!!! He told me to put my exsaust fans on to suck up the smoke smell. Then when I did that, the office assistant called me and told me the neighbors were complaining of the noise of my exsaust fans!!! I still keep them on! My son is not going to die of second hand smoke!

Not only did they increase the rent amount in January 2009 from 760.00 a month to 790.00 they raised my rent $40 a month after living here for a year! No explantion of why the high increase, but George will take every penny from you! I am finally getting out of here and I do NOT RECOMMEND this apartment to anyone! Please look else where because there are alot of apartments for rent in the area!

Wow George! Are you taking it hard that Briarwick finally let you go and fired you? It's funny that you just cant seem to let go of Briarwick and you enjoy holding a gudge againist me! I'm laughing my butt off that you decieded to come on here and write something back. Because lets look at the fact here....YOU GOT FIRED! HAHAHAHA. So join the rest of the people in the unemployment line. Oh by the way I am getting my money back from the increase's you charged me. The new Manager at Briarwick has taken a look at some of the things you have charged me for and I am getting my money back! So I wonder who's gettting the last laugh! Jessica

Most apartment exhaust do discharge into a common collection box before they vent out of the roof. So if the wind is right this can be an unpreventable problem. The manager has never received a bonus for collecting or increasing rent. The owners of Briarwick set the rent increases and the manager implements them.

This is probably the most childish behavior and comments I have ever read. Does someone have a grudge because the apartment complex chose to improve and upgrade it manager? Hmmm, sounds like it to me.
