Briarwick has gone down hill since George has took over. The apartment over all wasn't too bad. But it always smelled like smoke in one corner of the apartment not sure if it came from the neighbors, or if the person who lived there before us smoked but it was gross! Our bedroom ceiling and window leaked!!The carpeting was falling apart! Hopefully they replaced it before the next poor sucker moved in.
Snow removal is Horrible, now i understand it takes time not to big a deal but i slipped on the ice several times over the 2 year we lived here. They also didnt shovel all the walk ways they "forgot" several times to clear the path from my building to the next building where our storage and laundry machines where.
They allow dogs, not bad depending on the dog but one of the neighbors had a dog that barked all the time!!! That doesn't work when your trying to put your kids to bed. Plus not everyone cleaned up after their dog, which is disgusting i couldn't let me daughter run around outside the apartment because i didn't need her running through dog crap.
If you have made it this far through the review and are still thinking about moving to Briarwick read their lease CAREFULLY since George has moved in they changed the lease and when you sign it you are agreeing to pay for them to clean the carpet when you leave which will cost you $60 i believe. Look at any other apartment they don't charge you for carpet cleaning when you move out unless you trash the carpet. Technically it is illegal to charge a tenant for carpet cleaning unless it is above normal wear and tear...Briarwick gets around this by putting it in their lease another example of how George is money hungry!!
Our car was also broke into on our Daughters birthday!! Which seems to be a trend lately. Thankfully they didn't break our windows just broke the door handle but they had no problems clearing out the stereo and speakers.
Seriously save yourself the trouble and start looking someplace else!!

You are misinformed. George is the one that got the owners of Briarwick to change the lease to stop charging the carpet cleaning fee. It was in the lease before he got there.
