I've been a resident at The Chalet for just a few days shy of one full year. I resigned my lease without hesitation. I just love living here and plan to stay.
The location is amazing, I could'nt ask fopr more. Literally EVERYTHING is within walking distance. Downtown living isn't cheap, however, The Chalet's rents are very reasonable. I've found that the fellow resdients are also very friendly! I like the cross section of fine folks I've met thus far. Lots of smiling faces and friendly hello's. Pet-friendliness is a plus too!

I see alot of nagitivty in the posts below. Very unfortunate for a few. I myself have never had any issues with management, then again, I DO pay my rent on time and realize that when I sign a lease, I'm bound to it. Hell, if someone had a lease to live in my building annd decided they wanted out, I wouldn't let them walk either. Kind of defeats the purpose of leasing. Every time I've had a need to be in touch with managment, I was very happy with the response and friendliness. ------ and ----- alike have both been wonderful.

The building itself isn't that bad either. I do beleive it was renovated in the 1980's. Given the building's historic past, thats not too bad! Lord knows a building of such size can't gut and renovate every tens years. If they did, the whiners below would be --------- about higher rents too. You get what you pay for. Oh, my units does have a remodled kitchen and bath. That shows me that managment is on the task of updating. I toured many units befoe choosing mine, and m,anagment was more than hapy to help me look until I found ann updated unit I'm happy with.

I love it, and I plan to stay awhile. I would recommend it to anyone.
