I like it

Before I moved in here, I was renting a townhouse. At first I thought the rent was kind of high (900 for a 2br compared to the 1200 I was paying for an entire house) but when I realized that unlimited heat was included in that price it is really a great deal- especially compared to the other rental properties around here. We are never cold! The other tenants are respectable and nice, and a lot of them are older so they don't make much noise. Occasionally during the day they do work on unoccupied apartments which can make some noise, but it's nice to know they take care of the place. There is a manager and maintenance staff on the premises M-F and both are extremely professional, friendly, and competent. They wil bend over backward to help you out when you have a problem. Just about every request I have put in has been taken care of in a matter of days- most of them the next day. These include a new air conditioner, dishwasher, fixing heat, a complete re-tiling of the bathtub and many garbage disposal uncloggings. The police department is right across the street and the area is well lit so safety has never been a problem. Parking is not great, due to village ordinances that make you pay $3 per night (every night, in person) to park on the street. There are also parking spaces owned by the building, some in a heated underground garage, but they are in extremely high demand and difficult to get. But what can you do. I'd have to say the worst thing about this place is the trash chute- it's about 12" square and abslouletly nothing fits into it. Overall I give an A . This is a great place to live (just don't have too much trash)!
