Just use common sense...

I have read every review regarding Harbor Pointe Apartments, both positive and negative and have found an underlining connection among all of them... people don't do their homework!
In regards to those who are suprised about not receiving their full deposit back upon vacating... you should have read the paperwork that you signed when you moved here. It clearly states that there will be a portion of your deposit that is not returned. This is actually a very common practice for many apartment leasing offices.
As for all who complain about noise... you live in a apartment!!! Of course you will be able to hear your neighbors on occasions. If you have ever lived in any other apartment in your lifetime, then you have probably had noisy neighbors. That's just something you have to learn to deal with when you live in an apartment.
If you're concerned about the neighborhood, then you should have driven around the area to check it out first, instead of complaining about it now. That's just common sense!
As for everything else, the rent is average. I pay $759 a month for a 2 bedroom townhome. That's actually a pretty good deal. If the geese bother you, then you should have thought twice about moving somewhere near a lake! Lake = geese, duh! If you have ants, call the office, there is a pest control company that they have hired to take care of any problems with ants (or any other bug) and they do a good job. And while I'm on the subject... look around you apartment. Do you see any dirty dishes laying around, perhaps piles of dirty laundry, these are the reasons you have ants in the first place. Ants don't come into you apartment because the want your company, they come in because they are attracted to something you have left out. Dirty living space = ants, duh!
Now there are pros and cons to any rental situation. So do your homework before you rent, then you wont have to complain later.
