I totally agree with just about all of the previous messages, and furthermore, the hallways smell, the laundry room is small and dirty, the carpet is gross, the walls are nasty and need to be painted, the entrance hallway is so small that you can only fit in one person at a time and you practically have to go back outside just to open the door to the lobby!

The more I asked around, the more horror stories I heard about this place and I found out most of it was true. Even worse, I found out that complaints get no satisfaction and no action is taken to make this a better place. That is very disappointing. It is so sad that these managers come one here and post positive comments just so that it looks like someone is satisfied, but the truth is, no one who has stayed in Harbor Pointe long enough to witness these things will ever agree that it is a "wonderful place to live" and hardly anyone ever renews their leases (I sure won't).

They post notes about the garbage and "keeping Harbor Pointe clean" but fail to make mention of the halls that smell and look like garbage. It's ridiculous.

To anyone, anywhere who has any type of thought or idea of moving here, let me save you time, money and a headache- - DON'T MOVE TO HARBOR POINTE. IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY AND YOU WILL NOT BE SATISFIED.

All the managers care about is the rent. Nothing else matters. So what if you can smell other people's burnt dinner and their crap (literally) seeping through the walls; so what if the carpet is stained and peeling from the floor; so what if the elevator needs to be repaired; so what if the walls are dirty and the doors are scratched, peeling, bruised and sticky. SO WHAT!! If the managers don't care, why should the residents who live there, right' As long as they pay their rent, SO WHAT!!

DON'T DO IT!!!

I used to live in 9220, but my family expanded and I needed to move to a bigger place. The thing that annoys me about this review is that they are complaining about the carpet being stained and the halls smelling and then they are explaining how the managers are trying to stop it by telling people not to put their garbage in the halls. So, how is it that the managers don't care? I know that maintenance goes through the garbage to see who's it is. I have seen them do it. How's is this not doing anything? Sounds to me like this person is part of the problem and isn't doing anything to fix the problem. For example, if the halls smell, call it in so they can clean them....there's like 75 apartments in there or something....do you expect there to be less people?? Duh!

I know for sure that complaints have been made about the appearance of that building, but management has done NOTHING. Maintenace will come and fix up, spray a little air freshener, and think the problem is solved, but they have not tried to get new carpet or anything to get rid of the stains. That's probably why the hallways always smell- there are so many stains in the carpet that they have soaked in! What is posting a note "please don't leave your garbage all around"? People hardly even care about those notes. But if you get someone complaining about the smell in the hallways, the dirty walls, and nasty carpet, then the managers give no response or no acknowledgement of the issues. So you tell me how going through people's garbage fixes all of these other issues? They don't! You must have lived there when they first opened the place because it looks really low-income now.
