Leasing staff is horrible and stupid

I was suppose to move to Harbor Pointe on Apri 29th 2007. I called after I applied and talked to -----. I specifically stated to her that I wanted a 6 month lease and she goes "Oh that's fine with the 6 month lease it is a additional $50 per month which will make your rent $629"(I was looking @ a studio which is $579) I then state "OH that's no problem" ----- goes "Oh and by the way if you move in by April 30th you will recieve May free" I'm like "That is perfect!" On Sat the 28th I take the required money order for security deposit sign it over to them and I ask "Do I get my keys today so I can move in tomorrow'"(was suppose to move in on the 29th which I also stated clearly to her) she goes "Oh the apartment will not be ready until Monday I thought that was when you wanted to move in" I go " No I told you Sunday because I have to move out my current apartment by Monday at noon" (she was such a DINGBAT IDIOT) then she goes "so you owe us $21 for the one day left in April and you wanted a 13 month lease right'" I'm like "No I told you 6 months" she says "well you can't get a free month with a 6 month lease and I'm like "I specifically told you that I wanted a 6 month lease and I stopped applying @ other apartments because everything sounded perfect and in order" (Did not know she was so stupid) I was so angry that someone who needs to listen because that is part of your job don't listen @ all. On Monday I then proceed to call her manager ------ I explained everything that happened ------ would not give me the free month I was told I was going to get. I told ------ I would sign the 13 month lease and get me an attorney and then she HUNG up on me.(customer service huh') I called and talked to the VP who could careless what I had to say. Also I had a problem gettin my sec deposit back. I wrote it out to them before ----- let me know she was an idiot and I had Harbor Pointe written on it I talk to ----- who goes well we can cash it, but the it will take 21 days for you to get it back. All in all they are unorganized, do not listen, and will try and scheme and take your money...The White Birch low income across from them is the area that brings all the crime. A man stabbed his girlfriend over there and I have heard of the break ins so I thank the Lord all this did happen because I live in Glen Hills in Glendale and they are great. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

They change staff and managers all the time, they blame their problems on that.
In the state of WI they have 21 days to return your security deposit or to give you a written letter explaining why you are not getting it back. When I moved out 21 days had passed and I called because I didn't receive either...their response: "we just switched management again, so it could be another week." I had to call the headquarters in Chicago (BNG) to get it all straigtened out because they legally could not use that as an excuse not to do their job...turns out they messed up the paperwork and until I called nothing would have happened and I would still be out my money.
Funny thing, when I had asked for the number to BNG, ----- said she could not give it to me, that she didn't have the authority to give it to me....yet I found the number by looking on the homepage of Harbor Pointe's website.

I agree ----- is a big ----- who will say anything to get you to move in. When we first looked at the town home a working washer and dryer was left there and ----- asked if we wanted them. Well not we are getting ready to move out (we signed a 6 month lease thank goodness!) And now ----- is saying the washer and dryer is harbor pointe as we are not to take it out of the apartment. There is a new assistant manger there too ---- who needs to take some lessons in costumer service as well. He called me about my check and I have to write another one and I tell him what is going on and he sys "I really don't care" really nice customer service. Then I go back and give them another rent check and the leasing agent ----- was very rude too. I guess if you know how to treat people you can not work there!
