I stayed at layton grove apartments for almost 2 years. When I moved in, the carpet was not new and had stains already. The manager said, they were not removable. I am not sure if I recorded them in the move in report. However I am sure that I did turn in the move in report. At the time of move out, 132 dollars was deducted for stains in the carpet. When I enquired, they mentioned that I did not turn in the move in report and they do not have it documented. They claim that the carpet was new when I moved in. This means Metropolitan associates cheated me. I would suggest that you keep a copy of your move in report and somehow ensure that it is in their records, may be by asking them to give you a signed copy.

As for the apartments, the rent seems to be high if you take the size of the apartments into consideration. Also even after one year of staying, they dont allow short term lease without paying 75 to 100 dollars more per month.
