Not What it Seems

I decided to live here on previous reviews. That was a mistake. I have been battling over excessive noise from the tenant below me [deafening stereo] since I moved in with no satisfaction from office staff. I finally gave up on the office and called the police. We'll see how lasting a solution results from that. The laundry room is often dirty and the dryers never have their lint traps emptied from the previous user. Snow removal this past winter was adequate for the parking lot, but not adequate for my building. Since I have a disability that made getting from the building to my car a hazardous event. I won't comment on all buildings, but in my particular building there is trash left on the porch to the front entrance, in the parking lot and cigarette butts dominate the lawn in front of the building. I suspect that is due to several younger tenants living in the building. The rug down the downstairs hallway [I've never been upstairs due to my disability] is filthy and stained. It smells. From time to time it gets vacummed. Cigarette smoke inundates the hallway a significant amount of the time. Sometimes cigarette smoke comes into the apartment from the bathroom vent. I reported it and no one seems to want to look into it. I was going to take short walks through the parking lots for exercise. Since no one obeys the 10 mph speed limit that proved to be to hazardous and I gave up walking there. There is a nature trail behind the complex and that is less dangerous. For awhile there was a problem at my building with people parking in the disabled parking area who were not disabled. I called the police a few times and that problem went away. This is not an apartment complex that offers anything significantly better than anywhere else and for the same money or a little bit more much better apartments can be found. I think the people who live here for a long period of time do so because they can't afford anything better and can't affort to move. I am not in that circumstance and I intend to move as soon as my lease expires.
