Long but accurate and vital to apartment seekers

When I first moved here, it was a beautiful, comfortable place with wonderful management/maintenance personnel. That has since changed. As far as the previous poster's remarks about parking, I don't know where she lives but ours is ridiculous. I pay extra for my son's vehicle and he has been forced to either park in a lot by a whole different building or park by visitor parking. Yet, visitors routinely park in residents spots. When you call the office to complain, they are at best non-responsive if not plain rude. I've even pointed out cars and the "housekeepers" tell me some bull story about that being someone's grandma when it really belongs to the boyfriend of the former caretaker (who happens to be friends with the manager)and should know better. Look at the newsletter, see the same last names' They are all either friends or family here. I'm waiting for the Jerry Springer folks to show up to do a live remote broadcast! Our parking lot lights were out for 2 weeks. If you are a woman who works late, it is very dark and you have to park far away from the building cuz visitors are allowed to park in the resident spots. As far as other problems, I understand this is an apartment building and my son was young once too so I understand children. What I don't understand is why they run screaming in the hallways or through the parking lot with the morons that speed around with their music blaring. Someone is going to get killed! Plus, My bedroom window rattles if the people upstairs walk around. Trash litters the grounds as well as overflows the containers in the basement and the floors are nasty. Housekeeping is usually driving around on cell phones or hanging out in the office. The police activity has increased here. There was a shooting in the parking lot not long ago. I urge you to keep track of the increasing problems in the local police report section of the Journal. The staff here, well so much for accountability!!! Good luck to anyone moving here. If you don't want to live in the "trailer park", look elsewhere.
