I used to live at the Prospect Towers. I can tell you that this building is way over priced for what you get in quality.In fact, there really is NO quality. The property is in serious need of an update for starters. The hallways and the carpeting are outdated and look like your living in a Best Western from the 70's. There are no washing machines in the units and you have to lug your clothes to the main floor. The elevators are extremely slow and have knife carvings in the wood paneling from hooligans. The management never did anything about it and it looked terrible! The appliances are vastly outdated and I think my stove was from the early 1970's. Now, if that isn't bad enough, the walls are paper thin and I was constantly kept up by my rude neighbors who were either screaming at each other or having sex at the top of their lungs. The pool area looks dated and needs a facelift. Here is the best part. A new management group bought the building in early 2007 and has vastly increased the rents. Mine went up over 15%!!! Unacceptable for such pathetic quality. I could go on, but I hope you ge the point. DO NOT RENT IN THE PROSPECT TOWERS!!!
