Katz Management apparently took pover this building right before we moved in. I've lived in Katz Apts before this one but never in a high-rise situation and they clearly are "over there heads" in managing this building. Something is always broken here at any one given time. The Elevators are old and often break down and are sometimes not fixed for days. The phone kiosk for entry into the front for for visitors has been broken for a week at a time. All of there laundry machines are only opereated through the use of a prepaid debit card and the machine that allows you to put credit on that card was broken for at least two weeks. The only notice from Managment was to use the laundry mat 5 blocks away and that they were working on fixing the machine. If your planning on having two cars safely parked here, don't. They have few if any availble spots and can barely garuntee one spot underground. If you do get a spot hope you don't have a large vehicle as the spaces are clearly intended for compact cars, very tight squeeze. They appear to be doing some remodeling to apts as people have been moving out in 2007 and 2008 but have decided to charge an extra $200 a month for new carpeting and some new countertops, don't see how that constitutes such an increase in rent especially when everything else here sucks.
