I have lived at Schusters for a few months now and while the apartment is exceptional, (no complaints at all!) several of the people that live there are major party animals. Example: On the night of the fireworks,July 3, there were noisy parties scattered throughout the building ,(especially the roof). Drunken morons parked themselves at our table and proceeded to help themselves to our food. More than once.
There were beer bottles and various food wrappers thrown throughout the stairwells.To top it off, someone pulled the fire alarm at 3AM. The following day, there was a note posted in the elevator announcing that someone had lost their keys, wallet, cell phone, and PANTS! Lovely.

Also beware of the mentally unstable blond woman who lives on the third floor.I believe she is a danger to others, and possibly to herself.I do not know this person, but have witnessed her drunken, outrageous, vulgar behaviour a number of times. I also suspect she had something to do with the car in the parking lot with 4 flat tires a couple months ago.But I may be wrong.

Awhile back, there was an extremely loud domestic violence thing going on where someone destroyed all the lamp shades lining the hallways. Same person---Don't know for sure.

Then last month, a visibly stoned on something (different) woman came crying to me that someone had stolen her car from the secured parking lot.She got ahold of the police. Turns out she had gotten drunk at some bar and forgotten where she parked her car TWO DAYS EARLIER! This person needs rehab. Now. So does mentally unstable blond woman.

Two weeks ago there were 3 of us who stepped into the elevator and discovered that someone had peed in it.
Also be aware that this beautiful apartment building is right in the middle of the latin kings gang neighborhood. So I don't walk outside the secutity of the building at all at night. And I seldom go walking in the daytime.Be smart. Be aware of your surroundings at all times when going outside.

The moral of this story is : If you really don't care about drunks and the constant surprises they create, you'll be fine. You may even want to join them--But as for me, I will leave when my lease is up.

As stated earlier, the apartments are spectacular. The walls are pretty well soundproof. (I am lucky enough to have quiet neighbors on both sides.)But the apartment door is not soundproof at all--If there are disturbances in the hall, you WILL hear them.

Thanks for the detailed report. The apartments look beautiful on the internet and I was going to go and visit them, but I will stay far, far away!
