1. I've seen no theft or break ins, but I believe it happens. 2. There is no graffiti ANYWHERE! 3. Welcome to Milwaukee. It's not always pretty, but people are morons sometimes. That's not our apartments fault. 4. Never seen it! 5. Um....that's how garbage collection WORKS. I have never seen anyone looking through the dumpsters. 6. You want a private cop to walk around your aparment? And pay what you are now? You're insane. Go move into a highrise ritzy building with a doorman.

Fishy indeed. There is no way you live at Southgate. Dozens of car windows and windshields were broken into just this year. There should be grounds keeping - broken glass and other larger items do not get picked up. You never saw the missing plates because... ahem, they ARE missing? Several beat up vehicles were labeled with 'move or get towed' stickers, but remained in place for months. This lack of policing enhances opportunity for crime. When the dumpsters become full, several days prior to scheduled pickup, residents are forced to leave garbage outside the dumpsters - not good. There is a series of locals who regularly 'dumpster dive'... which is unsafe for them AND not secure for others to risk confidentiality via discarded mail, etc. Do I want a 'private cop' or are you attempting to belittle legitimate concerns? Would it benefit for local police to drive through regularly until the community is 'cleaned up' - - you bet! The rent is not 'cheap' here. The amenities are not plentiful here. Slap on the cost of auto glass replacement... I have seen some recent efforts to improve things by management. I am hopeful they will continue.
