You would think with where the apts are located, these apts would be great. I've lived here for a year and can't wait until my lease is up. NOISE is unbearable. If its not someones stereo, then its someone's TV or party. Apparently some of the people that live here think they're still in the hood where they can blast their stereo and smoke weed til 4 in the morning and its ok. That would be fine if we were all paying what those neighborhoods would go for. Some of us moved out here to get away from that. Most of the office staff is okay but the manager is rude and does not like to be accountable for anything. Theres been a leak in the hallway of our building that has never been fixed. My car has been broken into twice and during the winter, they need to do a better job of clearing the snow and ice and salting the stairways of the complex. The only good thing I can say is that the apartments inside are pretty unique. They're the loft style where the bedrooms are upstairs. Other than that, for the price you pay, you could get a quieter, safer apt elsewhere.

no, I think you're just mad because the good things arent being said about here because it doesnt deserve it and you sure have alot of time on your hands Gina for being the manager to be responding to postings where you could be handling the issues that are in the apt complex. No doubt your staff probably worked hard...but we pay rent for the work to be done not attempted. If it means more staff, that's the apts problems not ours. Just like it was DPW's problem which they corrected. Calling the police has not helped one bit and why would anyone call? So their car can get smashed out of retaliation? So these wanna be thugs can call up all their flakes to cause more trouble. Its not like you can be totally anonoymous anyway. I dont blame anyone one bit for writing bad comments on this apartment. They dont deserve anything good

Wow, everyone of these reviews I read makes me feel better that at least I wasn't the only one who was going through all the fun times at Southgate. And I like that everyone of these bad reviews has the management responding. If they would just spend the time they do surfing the web attempting to justify the crappy management, actually working on the apartments and spending time here to see and hear what the tenants do, these apartments wouldn't suck so much!

Congratulations Gina. Your fictitious response must've earned that managerial promotion. I know it wasn't your work ethics, since regular pleas for maintenance went unanswered or were begrudgingly rendered way later than you, yourself would accept for your own home. Don't bother with the public relations attempts online. Southgate is rapidly declining - not only the grounds and property - but the quality of tenants as well. Come live here for a month. Then write and tell us what you think.

ok... gina does not return telephone calls!! i have left her several voicemails recently and have yet to hear back from her. southgate is trash! i am very happy i moved out of that dump!!
