Pros:
1) Supernice staff, ESPECIALLY Amanda.
2) Fast repairs, friendly and helpful repairmen.
3) Great price for the nice area.
4) In winter, immaculate snow removal for parking lots and sidewalks.

Cons:
1) Sometimes neighbors smoke pot and make the hallway reek. Loud neighbors and baby mama drama upstairs, but you can't choose your neighbors! If you don't want to share a building with people, don't live in an apartment!
2) Parking for friends is impossible, but parking in Milwaukee in general is impossible.
3) In winter, Milwaukee does NOT plow the shoulders on the side streets. You can easily spend an hour or two digging out your car. I had a cop walk right past me without offering to help, while I had multiple residents and the apartment repairmen come out of their way to see if I needed help!


Overall, this place is great. I don't ever want to leave!

Why does it feel like this really nice reviews as of late are prompts by the management staff. Specially seeing as how as soon as they are posted, you jump on and thank them for the review. Working this hard to make people think these apartments are great means nothing when you don't spend time actually making the apartments great! If you like the apartments, just wait till you move out and they charge you $200 for a quarter size dirt spot on the carpet.

Can you possibly imagine how devastated we are here at Southgate that the monthly newsletter seems to have been discontinued? There was such helpful info in it. Like, oh, handy crime tips for safe guarding your auto and that special section for rating the staff's rapid response time to service requests? Oh woe - woe is us.

UPDATE : I'm Crazy , But I need a car due to health reasons ' Bought another . Tim the maintenance Man Just Gave me a Gift of a Club for my New Car . The office Staff have also been kind as they seem to understand how upset I was about the loss of my CAR, And Give me another Parking permit free of charge, and their was suppose to be a $25.00 Charge 'That was very Kind of Them !

I can't believe that anyone who has ever lived in these apartments wrote that review, and the fact that it was immediately followed up by an office staff member not even trying to cover up the fact that they are constantly reviewing this website left a message, really worries me! LISTEN UP ALL PEOPLE CONSIDERING MOVING TO THESE APARTMENTS, DON'T EVEN CONSIDER IT. THE OFFICE STAFF WILL SHOW YOU A BEAUTIFUL MODEL AND YOU WILL THINK THIS MIGHT NOT BE THAT BAD. WELL GUESS WHAT, YOU WILL DREAD EVERY DAY YOU SPEND IN THESE APARTMENTS. AND IF YOU DONT YOU ARE ONE OF THE HORRIBLE TENANTS MAKING THESE PLACES SO HORRIBLE FOR EVERYONE ELSE. If you love getting your car damaged or stolen, loosing sleep because of noise, or getting a contact high in the hallway then by all means, call Amanda.....if not keep searching!
