This building is only a year old, but does not look or feel like something that was recently rehabbed. I think the money ran out sometime before they were done and what we got was the bare minimum. The entire building is dimly lit and dingy looking, maybe to hide the fact that the common areas are never, ever cleaned. This is disgusting when the building gets hit every weekend by teenage partiers who somehow live in the building. The lobby is always filled with garbage and management does not seem to care at all. They pretend to care about noise issues but do nothing about it when you complain. The office is only open on weekdays and not a single staff person is available on weekends, even though they claim there is management on site. The other issue is security, even though they have a security guard on weekends, they don't seem to do anything but hang out in the parking lot and talk on their cell phones. Meanwhile, weirdos wander through the building and vandalize and litter. I've lived in industrial lofts before, so I thought I knew what to expect. I was so wrong! This is not loft style living, this is something more like a college dormitory, and maybe it should be advertised that way, even though the management will tell you that full time students are not allowed here. Not worth even half the money.

In early June I stopped here to see an apartment on a Saturday and the office was closed. The sign said open, but there was no one there. No one ever answers the phone either, it goes directly to an answering machine. I tried again the next week and there was a sign on the door saying they were out for lunch and would be back in one hour. So, are they open on Saturdays or not, and why do they go for hour lunches when the office is open for only four hours to start with.

Where are the security guards now? There aren't any. I see more broken auto glass in the street each day. This is not a safe street to park on, since there is no cross traffic. I can't beleive that security was let go and no one was told about it.

I know this neighborhood and the issues it faces. There are still a lot of petty crimes, mostly smash-and-grab car break-ins, muggings, and the occasional break-in. After hearing that the apartments do not even have deadbolts, I agree that there should be security on the premises at night.

I was told that mgmt was unable to provide a security guard but that it was up to residents to take ownership for the community. It was like they were saying Not My Problem because I don't live here. I wonder how this place gets property insurence with that kind of attutde.
