I am another Seed Tower survivor. When my lease ended on 1 July, I moved to a nearby building that charges less and cares more. Yes, the Seed Tower does offer beautiful apartments. This is about all you will get, and these come with an extraordinarly high price. I have never seen such a pronounced lack of management in my life. I do not know what they are paid to do, trained volunteers would care more and do more. No one is ever there even during their business hours. In the entire year I lived here, the same problems were continued from month to month. Management did nothing about them. New problems came up, like someone urinating in an elevator, but nothing was done about that either, from what I am told that problem continues to this day. How disgusting!

Update, an upset neighbor finally tore out the urine-soaked elevator rugs. Management has done nothing to fix it a week later. The elevator now looks like it belongs in Cabrini Green. The security guards all quit so our lobby was graffiti'd this weekend. People, I am paying $975 per month for these furnishings.

Elevators still look like a bomb went off. No word from our manager when or if this is going to be fixed. I guess Security DID quit, gotta wonder when someone going to tell us who live there. No word about anything at all lately. For real, maybe we are on auto pilot. All I see are people moving out every day.

Just so yall know, the elevator floor was finally replaced. It took about 3 weeks between the time they tore it up and the time it was fixed. They hung notes in the elevator saying it was being repaired, and every note got vandalized with some comments about the urine smell. You can't blame people for being aggrevated. The problem started in April or May. No one did anything about it until August and then only because they had to. Unbelievable.

I can't even believe this really happened!

The day I moved out, the elevator was again vandalized. The new tile, which was really nice, was already broken and chunks removed. It did not last a week without someone ruining it. I just wanted to scream. Depressing.

It isn't difficult to imagine an elevator full of urine after the past few weekends. This summer's trend is writing on the elevator walls. Sometimes this is permanently cut into the walls with knives or keys, sometimes it is written in lipstick or mascara. It is unreal. I have to ask myself what kind of people they are renting to.
