This should be one of the city's best places to live, but it's not. My apartment had been empty for several months when I got there in June. I don't think anyone did any checklist because I kept finding things broken or missing. Noise, broken appliances, car break-ins (2 since June and I own a 1998 Honda for goshsakes), plumbing issues. The office acts like I'm a crackhead crazy whenever I contact them. I was told no one else had complained about noise! There is no way that is true. Also, for what I am paying, I should not have to deal with trashiness. There is garbage everywhere on weekends - in the elevators, in the lobby, in the halls. I couldn't beleive someone was urinating in elevators. The grass is all dead from not being taken care of and they put in ugly red wood chips where grass should be. Management is not here on weekends. I am on my own if I have a problem until Monday and they usually take 2-3 days to get back to me. I think ignoring me is their way of dealing with me - making me not bother talking with them anymore. Just too much work living here. I guess lots of people feel the same way. Since I moved in, my whole floor has started to clear out. Not a weekend goes by where someone moves out. No one is moving in. Instead of fixing the problems management has been putting weird carnival games in our lobby. Now when I say I live in a circus I'm not joking.

Mumphrey, when your lease ends, I encourage you to look at the Fifth Ward Lofts nearby. I think you will find them much cleaner and much less stressful than your current home! As a landlord and property manager myself, I want to send the Teweles staff back to Landlord Training for giving us a bad rep!

I also thought the arcade games were weird. I thought we were getting a game room but instead they just threw a Golden Tee game in the computer room. If you are working online, this is very distracting. Then the "Win a CD" game showed up. Tacky! What next will we get a "Claw" game with stuffed animals. Then a pool table was basically thrown in a hallway which made moving furniture out my elevator a real hassle. This should have been put in the community room, oh wait, it is always closed and locked and no one can use it unless they pay a $200 fee. I am sure all of these things will be vandalized like the elevators were. On the day I moved out I noticed that the brand new tile finally put into in the "pee" elevator was already vandalized with chunks missing. Depressing.
