Every place has it's problems...

There are definitely some pros and some cons to living at Woodsview. I ve lived here almost 3 years and I ve dealt with it all. It s not the greatest I ve ever been in, but for my first apartment on my own, it wasn t bad. It s near the freeway, downtown, the brewers and it s a really nice community. Target is right down the road and so are a lot of restaurants. Within a couple miles of grocery stores and shopping centers.
Pros: Indoor Swimming pool and hot tub, fitness room, access to hotel restaurant, decent rent, great view of city. Maintenance was always quick to fix things. Onsite laundry. I was blessed with quiet, friendly neighbors, although I did have complaints about the gospel music that was coming from the apartment below me at 11pm on a Sunday night. I complained and it never happened again. Staff isn t bad, although you can REALLY tell when they re having a bad day. They are making repairs and trying to update the place (they just painted the entire inside of the building)
Cons: 1. I used the indoor parking for two months and I complained that the person who parked next to me kept taking up my spot. Nothing was done about it so I switched to free outdoor parking. My car has not been hit three times and I ve had to replace my bumper. The hotel guests illegal park in our parking lot and you can see them sneaking back so you know they know better. It sucks when there are ballgames, end of story. Oh - and beware of winter. There are definetly problems with clearing out snow.
2. There was a mouse in my house. That freaked me out, but they do try to keep up with getting rid of the vermin.
3. The halls were described to me as being the halls from Silence of the Lambs the halls do smell from time to time, but my apartment was never affected by it.
4. If you forget your key and go to the basement you re screwed until someone opens the garage or other doors.
5. Beware of getting stuck in the East elevator. I was trapped twice and had to wait 20 minutes for them to pry the doors open. West elevator is fine.
Every place has downfalls in the scheme of things it wasn t bad if it was, I would have moved two years ago. Beware that their price does increase I m leaving paying $565 for a one bedroom. I started at $540 and they told me last year that it was going up to $575/$580.
