Renter Beware!

For the first 10 months of my year long lease I thought this was a great place and recommended it to a few people. I am VERY SORRY that I recommended it to anyone. As soon as I gave my 60 days notice things started to go downhill.

First I spoke to someone in the leasing office about getting a repairman out to look at my dryer because it was not drying as quickly as it used to. At the time I specifically asked them to call me before they entered my apartment. I came home a couple days later for lunch and found the dryer running. As of this morning, it still doesn't dry proerply and they have not attempted to contact me about entering my apartment to look at the dryer.

Second I had some trouble with the complex I am moving into: basically someone refused to leave and my move in date and forwarding address both had to change. When I asked Dublin Trail if I could stay in my apartment for an extra day or two they informed me that I would be liable for an extra month of rent and any hotel, moving van, or storage fees incured by the people Dublin Trail had promised the apartment to. I have since gone back and re-read my lease and clearly am only liable for the month's rent.

Third, while I was out of town, they left a notice on my door that they were going to enter my apartment. When they entered the apartment they removed the notice and put in on top of a pile of junk mail (which I had forgotten to throw away before leaving) on my table. Had I not asked a friend to check in on the apartment while I was away I would never have known they entered it! The least they could have done was leave the notice where I might reasonalbly find it.

Finally they called my future apartment complex and told them that I had not properly given notice of intention to vacate. I have copies of the documentation proving that I gave proper notice and it was recieved on time.

The management here is not very trustworthy in my opinion. If you can avaid this complex I would advise that you do so. If you can not avoid it, I recommend reading all legal documentation over until you know it by heart so you know exactly what you are entitled to.

I think that this response from anonymous sums it all up. Obviously there is irresponsible management because a five year old could recognize that this response is from the management of the apt. who else would take the time to write a response? What reason would anyone have? I took the time b/c I have had the same experience with this complex and the manager is indeed untrustworthy and a drug user. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!

Dublinhell, I am not in any way associated with management of this property. I own several apartment complexes, and its low lifes such as you and unhappyrenter1373 that really annoy me. You live in a God damn apartment for pete's sake, no one owes you anything, and if you dont like it go find a trailer park somewhere where you can buy your own cheap double wide trailer for eight thousand dollars. Get a life.
