I lived at Carriage Way Apartments, and I also had friends that lived there, and all of us are in agreement that we wish we had looked around some more before moveing in there. The apartments seem to be okay when you tour them, but maintenance is a huge issue. The maintenance guy is very rude, and tramples mud into your apartment every time you need something fixed (which is very often!). They leave notes on your door with personal information instead of calling you. They raise the rents astronomical amounts every year. The basements are always wet and stinky, and full of mice. The washers smell like mildew and are very expensive. The manager has a real attitude with you when you want something fixed in your apartment such as your heat! There are other tenents who are very loud and when you tell the management, they don't do anything. I was extremely unhappy living there the year that I did. The owner must not care too much about who he hires to run his properties, and how they are run. My suggestion would be to look elsewhere! By the way, don't expect to get your security deposit back, even if you clean the place.
