This apartment is average. The location is great. The apartment itself is in good shape. Maintenance usually fixes things in a reasonable amount of time. Last summer when they redid the parking lots it literally took all summer (about 4 months) from when they started tearing up the old blacktop until we were able to park in them again. They had some excuse about how it wasn't the apartment owners fault. It seemed like they just hired the cheapest company they could find which was the reason they had problem with them. The free cable and internet looks like a big perk but it isn't as good as it sounds. The cable is fine, channels 2-99 basic cable works fine (digital and dvr are extra which would be expected.) My problem is with the internet. When it is working it is adequate at best, slower than any regular cable or dsl connection. There are a lot more times that it doesn't work than there should be. Sometimes it is just out for a day and sometimes it will be for a week or two at a time. When it is working, it will just randomly stop working for 5 minutes and then come back. I have tried everything I can on my end (different computers, different wireless routers, plugged directly into the ethernet port coming into the apartment, etc.) so I know it is something with the building or internet service provider. The apartment staff doesn't do anything about it. They just tell people to call the internet service provider to complain. The internet provider doesn't do much about it. Since I'm not paying for the connection, they don't really do too much to fix it.
