The special that was offered is the main reason that we moved to Hidden Creek (two months free rent). The building that our apartment is in had burned down and was rebuilt, so we basically moved into a brand new apartment. We like the layout of the apartment and the New Berlin area. The construction of the building is horrible, however. It was obviously rebuilt with speed and low costs in mind and not quality. We our still (9 months in) finding new things that were done incorrectly which includes unidentified objects stuck under the carpet and tiles, stained ktichen flooring, crooked walls, hammer dents in walls, poorly installed windows and thin walls. The windows leak so much cold air that our heating bill has skyrocketed. The walls are thin enough that we can hear our next door neighbors turn their lights switch on & off and our upstairs neighbor's cats chase each other around at all hours. For a building that burned down, you would hope that more attention would have been placed on insulating each individual apartment. Overall, if the price is right, Hidden Creek is a ok, otherwise I would recommend spending a little more per month and look down the street at Fountain Square.
