We have lived here for many years and we were advised to give our feedback by our neighbor who recently wrote a review. In light of the recent reviews and comments we've been reading, we would like to let everyone know that we don't completely agree with the negativity, and Stonegate does have some good overall qualities that hasn't been mentioned. We especially like the large pool and hot tub. The pool is rarely ever crowded and the hot tub is a great place to socialize and relax especially when you experience severe muscle aches.

The only thing that concerens us that is worth mentioning is that the hot tub waterfall is never on anymore. It used to be on daily, and has been on less and less the last couple of years, until now it's not on at all anymore. In fact it was one of the things that attracted us to it compared to all other run of the mill pool facilities.
I overheard another tenant asking a maintenance man about it and she was told that it works but they don't turn it on because no one is available to turn it off when the pool closes.
All who heard about this was surprised. Someone has always come to close the pool at night (we found that out the hard way), so we don't see why this person cannot turn off the waterfall at that time as well as get back into the routine of putting chairs and tables back rather than leaving them in disaray (common on weekends)
If the waterfall didn't work, that would be more understandable, but we find it hard to believe that none of the staff can simply turn it off when they close it at night.
It's a minor thing, but to hear an excuse of laziness rather than a logical explanation does not sit well with us.

It is there for a reason and has been turned on and used for years. Its there to make a more enjoyable atmosphere and for comfort. From reading these other reviews based on unrelated issues, we agree to the point it's still the little things that do count and can have the most impact because they are just as important and deserve just as much attention. We want results not excuses because it's a reflection of the property overall.
I still think Stonegate has the best pool facilities around but we'd hate to see it get worse through their not thinking all parts of it are important. because we still want to be able to enjoy the facilities to the fullest We expect this to be an issue that will be improved. Evertything else we have been happy with and experienced no other issues that concerned us.

I said something to the office about the waterfall thing and the comment. It made sense to me to say something to the office and I am happy I did because I found out that the maintenance guys that live at Stonegate are paid extra to close the pool at night and clean it up in the morning. I'm guessing that they talked to them about it because I was at the pool last night and the waterfall was on until I left late. I figured when I read this that something was a little off because they are normally very prompt when you ask them to fix something. Thanks guys - we appreciate the waterfall and we appreciate your very prompt attention!
