Let's start with the $140 carpet cleaning fee when you move out. When I moved in the carpet was disgusting.
My toilet sprung a leak and it took 4 days to get it fixed.
Never ever take a first floor apartment unless you want to hear EVERYTHING your upstairs neighbors do.
Very poor construction throughout.
The furwnace/ac unit is in a closet outside, Mine was filled ith mold. That's nice to breath in.
Don't pay a ton of money for a dumpy apartment...look elsewhere.

I live here too! I can't wait to get out!!

First of all, no landlord can charge you for routine carpet cleaning, even IF You signed your leave addendum stating you have to pay for it. Here is the link to the tenant resource center, which explains it. http://www.tenantresourcecenter.org/housing_counseling/carp called them last Friday to ask about it - and she told me i needed to turn it in with my vacat letter, when i asked if she was aware that is illegal, she played stupid and said, well, you signed it in your lease didn't you? I said, yes, however, the statues say even IF You did sign it, you do NOT have to pay for it. (If they insist, call tenant resource center and file a complaint) So she continues to act stupid and said she wil have to have the "boss lady" call me on Monday. Obviously, they never called, and I gave them a week. I will be calling again on Monday to see what their excuse is, THEN, I will be calling the tentant resource center in Madison.

Also, I agree, you can hear EVERYTHING your upstairs neighbors do. I was laying in my bed last week. I Heard him/her, open their bedroom door, go into the bathroom, I heard him/her peeing, yes, PEEING, in the bathroom, flushed the toilet then, and walked out and closed the bedroom door. I can hear their little 5 lb dog running around all the time. I can hear their tv everyday. I can hear them talking. I can not only hear them walking, but it rattles everything on my walls, this building was built in 2002, and the ceiling/floors creek horribly.

The carpet was horrible when we moved in - within 10 min of moving in, we had stains all over. My roommate moved out in Oct, so my mom came down and cleaned the carpet,it looked like a million dollars for 10 minutes, until it dried and you walk over it, and the stains all come back. It is horrible. As far as the parking issue, thats another story. You have NOWHERE to park, besides your garage and infront of your garage. So if the person who parks in the garage gets home later, you have to play musical cars. You cannot park on the road at all in the winter, and visitor parking is availble, but you have to park on the snowbanks next to the abandond cars (which they told me were going to be ticketed over 2 weeks ago-never happened!).

I would NOT recommened this place.
